Havas Arnold pockets new Lee Jeans campaign

Havas' Arnold Worldwide was picked to handle the VF Corp's Lee Jeans ad campaign.

Lee conducted research for over a month before zeroing on Arnold Worldwide.

Others vie for the Lee 'pie' were New York based agencies like DDB and Lowe.

Being together for 19 years, Lee and, Minneapolis based ad agency, Fallon Worldwide, split.

Fran Kelly, COO and President, Arnold Worldwide, said that this was a great opportunity as they were always interested in fashion.

Arnold Worldwide is the headquarters of Arnold Worldwide Partners, a global network owned by Havas.

Globally, Arnold Worldwide Partners has 17 offices in eight countries, which include the five full-service US operations and was named the second most awarded agency in the world by Creativity Magazine

A spokeswoman for Greensboro-based VF said that they waned to concentrate on jeans wear, especially the Lee brands for women as its sales had slid seven percent in the third quarter.

Jeans wear is VF's biggest single division and a major cash source that fuels the company's growth plans.
