Frida Giannini joins Cannes red carpet for 'Once'

The newly restored version of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America debuted this evening at the 65th Cannes Film Festival Cannes. Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini was joined on the red carpet by the film's original cast members Robert De Niro, Jennifer Connelly, James Woods, and Elizabeth McGovern, as well as original composer Ennio Morricone. The Leone family joined them in honor of their father's masterpiece.

The following guests wore Gucci:

Frida Giannini wore a one of a kind black strapless silk crepe gown with a long sleeved sheer chiffon overlay featuring jet beaded ruffle detail at the neck, black evening sandals and black clutch.

Jennifer Connelly wore a Gucci Première black silk crepe strapless gown. The dress features a cross panel detail along the bodice wrapping around to a pleated train with black peep toe evening sandal and black python box clutch.

Elizabeth McGovern wore a white bio silk georgette cap sleeved gown with plunging v-neck detail with white bio silk high heeled evening sandals.

Salma Hayek-Pinault wore a Gucci Première floor length fully embroidered gown, of overlapping deep aubergine coloured cuvettes, with a degrade of beading opening onto layers of nude tulle at the lower part of skirt with a pale blush satin evening clutch and high heeled evening sandals.

Charlotte Casiraghi wore a one of a kind forest green silk georgette halter neck gown featuring plunging neckline and cascading ruffle detail with high heeled gold evening sandal and black suede evening clutch.

Gemma Arterton wore a Gucci Première tulle floor length sleeveless v-neck gown featuring an all over linear embroidery of oyster grey crystals and beads with black velvet high heeled evening sandals and 18kt yellow gold diamantissima drop earrings.

Bella Heathcote wore Fall Winter 2012-2013 look 13 brandy floral printed silk georgette halter neck evening gown with ruffle detail at neck, black crocodile evening clutch and black suede high heeled sandals.

Livia Firth wore a gun metal strapless bio silk gown featuring a short sleeved draped top and finished with a black bio silk satin ribbon detail around the arms, neck and waist with bio silk high heeled evening sandals and a grey bio silk evening clutch.

Isabella Ferrari wore a one of a kind long sleeve open back silk crepe gown with jet bugle beaded top and draped skirt with asymmetrical front slit and cascading train, black high heeled sandals with gold detail and black crocodile evening clutch.

Li Bing Bing wore a Gucci Première pale yellow strapless evening gown worked with layers of gathered silk tulle draped vertically over a corset down to a full multilayered skirt. From the bust across the waist and hips. The dress is embroidered with a motif of tonal flowing leaves in transparent pale yellow pale glass yellow bugels and jonquil crystals

Zhu Zhu wore a one of a kind black and white silk crepe cocktail dress with gold chain detail, black satin clutch and gold high heeled evening sandals.
