Polo Ralph announces Myron Ullman resignation

Leader in the design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle apparel, home, accessories and fragrances Polo Ralph Lauren announced the resignation of Myron E (Mike) Ullman, III from the Polo Ralph Lauren Board of Directors.
Ullman has decided not to stand for re-election to the Company's board of directors when his current term expires and has tendered his resignation effective February 14, 2006, due to his other professional commitments as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JC Penney Company, Inc.
"Mike brought extensive business and retail experience to their Board and they benefited from his counsel during a time of global expansion for the luxury Ralph Lauren brand," said Ralph Lauren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Polo Ralph Lauren.
"On behalf of the Board I would like to express my great appreciation to Mike for his many contributions and service over the past two years and wish him well."
Ullman has served on the Polo Ralph Lauren Board since February 2004.
He was the chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
His departure brings the number of Directors on the Company's Board to nine.
