Watsons 1st Slovenia store to offer over 7,500 products

Beauty retailer A.S. Watson Health & Beauty (ASW) announces the opening of their first store in Zalec, Slovenia. It is the first store in Europe that will operate under the Watsons name. Further this year at least 10 new Watsons stores will be opened in Slovenia.
The Watsons store features a new and unique health and beauty retail concept in the Slovenian market by offering a comprehensive and balanced range of core personal care products, cosmetics and fragrance, health care categories and general merchandise items, all in one store and for the lowest prices in the market.
This store opening creates a roll out programme that will see Watsons operating in many retail centres in other major cities throughout Slovenia.
Two years ago ASW took a significant interest in the Rossmann Drugstore chain and last year bought the French Marionnaud perfumery chain (over 1200 stores in 14 countries). Other retail chains operated by A.S. Watson Health & Beauty in Europe include Drogas, Kruidvat, Superdrug, Savers and Spektr.
Watsons in Zalec (situated in the ERA Shopping mall) will offer over 7,500 products including cosmetics, skin care, hair products, health food, baby care, baby food, general merchandise and confectionaries. An efficient photographic service provides clients with easy development facilities for their analogue and digital photographs are also available.
ASW is lively already in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary with over 410 stores under the name Rossmann and has a good understanding of the market and our customers in Central Europe.
