Vietnam footwear enterprises, in 2005, have exported a significant volume of capped – knitting shoes to Japanese market worth nearly US $ 24 million, up by 7.87 percent over 2004 (3.37 percent).
This result recorded a continuous three year – increase after a previous period of decline.
Currently, Vietnam is ranked at the fourth biggest exporter of the capped – knitting shoes to Japan, and accounts for 3.36 percent of the country's market share, just behind China (82.9 percent), Indonesia (4.27 percent) and Italy (3.86 percent).
