New venue for Yarn Expo Spring 2006

Although China's production of fibres and yarns has increased, the nation is still not able to cover all its need, which leads to a growth in imports. China needs to import more middles to high quality fibres and yarns in order to meet the huge demand from the international and domestic markets. From January to July 2005, China's imports of silk yarn have increased by more than 80 percent year-on-year.
Yarn Expo is recognized by suppliers worldwide as an excellent platform to meet Chinese weavers and knitwear manufacturers sourcing for fibres and yarns. The show organizers expect a repeat of last year's success.
In 2005, the total number of buyers was up 12 percent from 2004. Around 85 percent of the buyers were locals and the numbers of buyers from overseas were up 11 percent from the last event.
Yarn Expo is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry - CCPIT, China Cotton Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, China Chemical Fiber Association, China Bast & Leaf Fibers Textiles Association, China Textile Information Centre and supported by the Texprocil of India.
