Cherokee signs international license agreement with Pick'n Pay

Cherokee Inc, a leading global licensor and brand management company, has signed an exclusive international license agreement with Pick'n Pay Retailers, a premiere South African retailer for The Republic of South Africa.

The agreement includes a wide range of categories including men's, women's, and children's clothing, footwear and home textiles.

Michael Coles, Director of Pick'n Pay Retailers said, "We have monitored the successful global growth and consumer acceptance of the Cherokee brand over the last several years and look forward to collaborating with The Cherokee Group as we launch Cherokee in South Africa. As we have been in talks for some time, we are delighted to have entered into this agreement with The Cherokee Group."

Larry Sass, Senior VP of Cherokee Inc, Business Development said, "We are extremely proud to partner with Pick'n Pay. Their vision is to make Cherokee a leading family lifestyle brand throughout South Africa."

"They will build on Cherokee's successes in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Mexico as well as the recent launches in The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland," Sass continued.

Mark Nawrocki, Senior VP of Cherokee Inc, Brand Development and Marketing said, "Our expansion into The Republic of South Africa is another step towards our global branding objective. Currently, we are pursuing new partnerships throughout Europe, South America and Asia."

Cherokee Inc, based in Van Nuys, is a marketer, licensor and manager of a variety of brands it owns (Cherokee, Sideout, Carole Little and others) and represents.

Currently, Cherokee has licensing agreements in a number of categories, including family apparel, fashion accessories and footwear, as well as home furnishings and recreational products.
