Global leader in apparel and footwear Nike and Google announce the launch of Joga.com, giving people who share a passion for the joy and beauty of football the chance to create a global online community for the world's most popular sport.
Available in 14 languages, joga.com (joga means “play” in Portuguese) enables users to create their own profiles, pick their favorite players, see profiles of players such as Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Wayne Rooney, choose teams and pitches, post their own photos and videos, and form global social networks with others to share, debate and celebrate the heart and soul of football.
“Nike and Google have given people everywhere the chance to create their own global community dedicated to their shared passion for football,” said Trevor Edwards, Nike's Vice President of global brand management.

Nike launched its “Joga Bonito” global football initiative in February to promote beautiful play and brilliant football.
Other elements of Joga Bonito include JogaTV, joga3 futsal grassroots tournaments, Nike football performance footwear, apparel and equipment, and sport culture product and digital content celebrating the heritage of the game.
