With the globalization of the rapidly evolving fashion industry, more and more young talented designers from conservative nations are coming forward to put their countries on top of the world map.

A similar incident recently took place at the UNION Fashion Week in London, where Farhanna Pura, a 27-year-old designer representing the sovereign state of Brunei, showcased her clothing line NaForrer.

Highlighting the immensely creative fashion industry and businesswomen of the sultanate, the designer featured nearly eight womenswear and two menswear pieces at the event themed ‘Embracing British Fashion’.

Focusing on the concept of dressing for success, her designs included a range of evening, tea and party dresses as well as kaftans.

Founded in May 2010, NaForrer is an online boutique which offers modern classic designs for the young professionals.

Organised by the Student Union of Regent's University London, UNION Fashion Week aims to showcase the works of student designers, new brands and major fashion labels.
