As part of the countdown for the 2013 event, Graduate Fashion Week, the largest fashion graduate showcase in the world will be launching a new website today, 8th May.

The highlight of the new-look site is the careers search section.  Designed to increase employment opportunities, Graduate Fashion Week will be launching an online portal for creative job and paid internship advertisements from across the industry.

Live job offers will be regularly posted, reinforcing GFW’s focus on recruitment and opening new opportunities for graduates in this difficult economic time.  Jobs on the site will be for new graduates and will include opportunities with companies including George, Debenhams and Karen Millen.

In addition the revamped website will feature a mentoring section dedicated to encouraging educational development in the workplace.  This will include feature articles and interviews on topics surrounding seeking employment, internships, start up business and higher education, from companies that support GFW, such as Drapers magazine, Arts Thread and title sponsor George at Asda.

Entering its 22nd year, GFW takes place from 2nd to 5th June 2013 at Earls Court 2.  This year GFW has 24 catwalk shows and more than 40 universities will be showcasing the pick of this year’s crop of students.  The event will also be packed with exciting initiatives including talks from key industry professionals, a new Job Zone (replicating opportunities available on the website), a Pop-up Shop and a Live Photo Studio.  The week culminates with a grand finale Gala & Awards show on Wednesday 5th June, which will be attended by the great and good of British fashion.

Showcasing the very best talent from the UK’s premier fashion and design universities, Graduate Fashion Week is one of the most un-missable events on the calendar for both the international fashion contingent and the general fashion loving public.  This year the event celebrates 22 years of British trained fashion talent passing through its doors.
