Peruvian photographer Mario Testino unveils fashion line

Internationally famous Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino has collaborated with the luxury e-commerce destination Net-a-Porter to create a capsule range of clothing and accessories.
The photographer drew inspiration from the pictures of his recently unveiled Alta Moda exhibition, which features mountain-dwellers of Peru’s Cusco region in traditional festive costumes.
Titled as Mario Testino for MATE, the line includes silk and cotton blended kaftans, scarves and bags accentuated with abstract prints.
Available for sale from June 2013, onwards, the collection’s proceeds will go to the photographer’s not-for-profit cultural institution MATE, located in Peru’s capital city of Lima.
Launched in 2000, Net-a-Porter offers clothing and accessories from cutting-edge labels like Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Valentino and Victoria Beckham.
