Suzy Menkes, the famous British journalist and fashion editor of the newly-christened International New York Times, has decided to put up her personal wardrobe on sale.

The veteran fashion writer will sell off some eighty ensembles, designed by the likes of Paul Smith, Christian Lacroix, Ossie Clarke and Emilio Pucci, at Christie’s online auction.

Scheduled to run from July 11th to 22nd, 2013, the to-be-auctioned outfits include a spectacular cocktail jacket from YSL label’s ‘le soleil' 1980 collection, which is expected to fetch anywhere between £1000 and £2000.

The 69-year-old’s other delectable items, which are set to go under the hammer at the same event, are an ivory hued classic pant suit by Yves Saint Laurent and a personalized Chanel accessory.

Founded in 1766, Christie’s is an international fine arts auction house that offers private sales to clients across the globe.
