More than 400 companies representing more than one thousand brands have already confirmed their participation, with more than two months still to go before the unveiling of this new multi-sector fashion event organised by IFEMA.
The fashion show, to be staged from 6th to 8th September at Feria de Madrid, has already contracted out some 90% of the exhibition space initially set aside for the event.
MOMAD METROPOLIS is the result of the fusion of the exhibitions known as SIMM and MODACALZADO+IBERPIEL, the two grand trade forums in Spain devoted to the world of clothing, footwear and accessories, which have taken place in Madrid for several decades now.
Desigual, Xti, Mustang, Gioseppo, Coolway, Chk10, Victoria, Callaghan, Mephisto, Vidorreta, Gaimo, Pertini, Lola Cruz, Cressy, Hispanitas, Robert Clergerie, Piedelli, Guanflex, Mayoral, Puntotres, Amarillo Limón, Cantallops 1897, Cordon, Best Mountain, Charo Ruiz Ibiza, El Armario de Lulu, Lauren Vidal, Vilagallo, Strena, Noa Noa, Laga, Pause Café, Almatrichi and Scripta Code are the names of just some of the brands that have confirmed their participation at the first edition of this new point of reference for the fashion industry on the European fair circuit.
This group of companies, all of which are habitual participants at IFEMA's fashion events, will be complemented at MOMAD METROPOLIS by a number of new names, such as Beppi, under the heading of children's fashion, Robert Pietri and Abbacino, firms specialising in handbags, and Martha Peters, the specialist in wedding fashion.
Among the new brands at the trade show, we might also highlight Drastik, Bunker, Cheyenne, Brigitte Bardot and the brand belonging to the female bullfighter, Cristina Sánchez.
Furthermore, the first edition of MOMAD METROPOLIS will feature the participation of other companies of international profile, such as the Brazilian brand, Raphaella Booz, and the Portuguese brand, Riposella.
A Favourable Reception for the Itinerant Calendar
The itinerant calendar of presentations for MOMAD METROPOLIS, which took place last May-June throughout different cities and regions on the Iberian Peninsula, ranging from Arnedo (La Rioja) to Ibiza, and including Barcelona, Ciudadela (Menorca), Fuensalida (Toledo), Elche (Alicante), Galicia, Almansa (Albacete) and Porto, achieved some satisfactory results.
In total, more than 250 clothing and footwear manufacturing companies attended the presentations for the show, granting a very warm welcome to the project to integrate the former clothing fashion, footwear and accessory fairs into a single event.
These presentations on the Iberian Peninsula shall be complemented by those that are staged by Ifema's delegations located in important foreign markets such as Italy, Mexico and Brazil. All of these measures form part of a strategic plan to present and disseminate the new trade fair model both inside Spain and abroad.
Buyers and Foreign Press Programme
Furthermore, the international promotion of MOMAD METROPOLIS shall be strengthened by the organisation of a wide-ranging Foreign Buyers Programme, one that encompasses representatives of important multi-brand establishments in France, the Lebanon, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Russia and Portugal. In addition, the trade show has organised a Foreign Press Programme designed to encompass a number of journalists from outstanding media bodies in Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Portugal, France, Italy, Poland and Mexico.
