Voguette to honor designers with new line at MBSS

The Miami-based online boutique specialized in global fashion trends, Voguette, announced that it is now featuring a special selection of swim, beach and resort wear, in honor of international designers flocking into South Beach for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, July 18-22, 2013, and Miami Swim Show, July 20-23, 2013.

Committed to providing women with instant access to unique global styles, Valerie Biener, former fashion director of Vogue Latinoamérica and co-founder of Voguette, also revealed the company will be launching its redesigned mobile-optimized website in the upcoming weeks. She said the initiative is to offer shoppers a user-friendly platform that can be readily accessed from smartphones and tablets.

“Swim is the swimwear industry's most highly anticipated event in the world, and since we have successfully become the entry door for many international designers into the U.S. market, we are celebrating this moment with them, Swim style,” stated Federico Arocena, the other co-founding half of Voguette.

Biener describes the global fashion trends site as ‘a visual voyage to the world's most exceptional, exotic and eco-chic fashions’. The company’s principals take the ‘green global concept’ seriously, which has secured Voguette a Green America certification for the past two years.

The Green America recognition is for businesses that actively use their competency as a tool for positive social change. Its demanding requirements ensure only companies heavily committed to preserving the environment in the way they source, manufacture, and market their products, are acknowledged.

But in addition to environmentally conscious, Valerie says the typical Voguette shopper is also a savvy and trendy jet setter in pursuit of fashion-forward, unique, yet affordable items. “A ‘voguette’ knows about trends before they actually hit the general public; she is confident and sophisticated, and is constantly being approached by admirers lusting after her impeccable style.”

Since its conception, Voguette has proven its shoppers just that, having had its carefully curated pieces featured on the cover of popular publications such as InStyle Magazine and Sports Illustrated 2011 Swimsuit issue.

Arocena says that because ‘voguettes’ are also ‘citizens of the world’, always on-the-go, it was a logic business decision to move ahead with the project to optimize the website for better access from mobile devices.

A Localeze Usage Study has shown that 61 percent of smartphone users currently make purchase decisions from their mobile device. “We understand the importance of being mobile-ready in today’s market. Our new mobile-optimized site will allow our customers to instantly make purchases from their smartphones the minute they spot one of our designer’s unique items,” he admitted. “Particularly with the promotions we run during popular shows, such as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.”

In addition to Swim, Valerie and Federico will also be attending Magic Market Week in Las Vegas, next August 19-21, 2013, and have plans to make an appearance at Colombia Moda, July 23-25, 2013, as well.
