Recreating the aura and grandeur of the dark medieval ages in fashion, there was a large dose of lavish opulence in the feminine couture creations. Lace, tulle, silk and velvet were the fabric choice for Rocky S, which were all turned into figure-hugging, contour-gliding, and eye-catching formal wear.
Presenting a well edited line of 30 creations that were stunning in form and detailing, Rocky S opened with a black gathered dress with velvet floral appliqués on a lace background. Soon the collection moved to a one-shoulder draped Grecian entry, column mermaid shape gowns, shimmering drop waist embroidered beauties with trailing skirts, moulded lace and nets layered ruffled ensembles and a mini cape for a will-power gown.
Transparency was the focal point of each garment, with strategically placed lace accents but low plunging rear necklines gave a sensuous appeal to the line. Moving gradually from black to dull gold, grey and shimmering silver, but keeping the top half of the outfits in black seductive lace/net, Rocky S displayed long tubes with beaded tassel top, a 20’s flapper girl dress and sheaths that caressed the curves of the models’ figures.
Ruffles gave the final line of gowns that ultimate glamour quotient, as the sheer organza was layered, petalled and moulded to give a new dimension to midnight glamour.
To end the breathtaking collection of über glamorous creations, the showstopper was beautiful Pond’s Femina Miss India International 2011, Ankita Shorey, in a sensational fishtail lace gown that left the audience awestruck.
Creating midnight glitter for women who want to make that everlasting impression, the “Rocky Star” collection by Rocky S will score high on the “long to wear it” charts.
