Even after sixteen years of her tragic death on August 31, 1997, the aura and enigma surrounding Princess Diana, said to be the most fashionable royal of all times, refuses to fade.

Once again, the never-diminishing charm of the famous Princess of Wales will be celebrated through a travelling exhibit, featuring her clothes and other belongings, at the historical Putnam Museum, Davenport, Iowa.

Titled as ‘Diana: A Celebration’, the event will showcase more than 28 dresses, suits and evening gowns, worn by the one of the 20th century’s most influential women, during her various public appearances.

Scheduled to run from September 14, 2013 to January 5, 2014, the exhibits will include Lady Diana’s memorable wedding gown which features a long sweeping 25-foot train.

Other than the lavish outfits, the event would also display personal mementoes, paintings and rare home shot videos and photos of the sophisticated royal fashionista.

Initially organized by Diana’s family at their 500-year-old Althorp estate, located in Northamptonshire, England, on July 1, 1998, the touring exhibit has later travelled to various locations around the world.
