Valentino opens first flagship store in Paris
Jan '14
Valentino opens of its first flagship store, at 273 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, dedicated entirely to the Valentino Uomo collection.

This boutique – which is the result of a partnership between Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, the Creative Directors of Valentino, and architect David Chipperfield, who has also designed the Women’s concept stores – represents a defining moment for the identity of Valentino Uomo.

The design blends classic and contemporary elements in a space envisioned as a maison or a palazzo made of magnificent, timeless materials. The result is an austerely simple and yet intimate and genuinely masculine ambiance.

The most striking element is the strength of the synthesis between classic and contemporary, with a few, select items chosen to accentuate and emphasize one another. The new Valentino Uomo store concept seeks a sense of continuity and uniformity throughout the entire store: volumes and surfaces emerge assertively as a bare yet luxurious presence.

The Paris store, which covers a total surface area of 400 square meters, has two floors connected by way of a majestic staircase. The heart of the boutique is found in the main area dedicated entirely to made-to-measure bespoke clothing.

Not only suits and coats can be made to measure so too can jeans, allowing for total individual customization. In these rooms reminiscent of swimming pools, each customer can find his own personal style whilst wandering through the clothing and accessories collections, without distractions.
