The Kingfisher Ultra Bengal Fashion Week in collaboration with Storm Fashion Company mesmerized the fashion lovers of Kolkata for three days as the ramp dazzled with some of the most exquisite collections of renowned designers from all over the country. The beautiful amalgam of incredible textures, silhouettes, style and colours bewitched the fashion world’s who’s who as they experienced a visual treat of fascinating designs from a unique league of top designers.

Day one saw Kolkata’s very own ace designers Jaya Mishra, Jyoti Sachdev Iyer and Agni Mitra Paul wowing the audience with their extraordinary designs. Renowned couture designer Jaya Mishra opened the show with her ‘High Couture Bridal Collection’ consisting of colorful, feminine and lavish bridal attires as well as her Gothic International bridal wear fused with frills and collars to give an exotic Elizabethan feel.

Setting the ramp on fire was Bollywood actor, Richa Chaddha, one of the showstoppers for Jaya Mishra’s show. She was joined by none other than the Kingfisher Calendar 2014 girl Ketholeno Kense (Leno) who added to the glam quotient with her poise and beauty. Actress Mumtaz Sorcar sizzled on the ramp as the third showstopper. Renowned Sufi singer Shadab Faridi of 'Jashn e Ishqa' and 'Malang, Malang' fame performed live while the models were walking the ramp for Jaya Mishra.

Following this, Kolkata based designer Agnimitra Paul presented her ‘Woman of Substance’ collection inspired by the independent Indian woman of present times who represent a perfect blend of sensuality, elegance and grace. Actress Rituparna Sengupta along with Poulami Ghatak, the famous tennis player and Shashi Panja walked the ramp for Agnimitra Paul.

Jyoti Sachdev Iyer took over the show with a fabulous display of exquisite ensembles with minimalistic embellishments. Her collection, inspired by the vintage 1950’s era, highlighted uniquely styled Indianized drapes in soft pastel shades which are a must have in every chic woman’s wardrobe. Formed Miss India World Natasha Suri and model Sonika Chauhan, the showstoppers walked the ramp with great poise and elegance.

The day two of Kingfisher Ultra Bengal Fashion Week brought forward the best of style and glamour to the ramp. Kolkata based designers Mona Pali opened the show with their latest collection inspired from the colours and symbols of political parties in India.

AD Singh took over from Mona Pali and set the mood for evening with his ‘Crystallized’ collection. The collection epitomized feminine sensuality with ultramodern cuts and styles accentuated by flamboyant silhouettes completely encrusted with Swarvoski crystal components that redefined shimmer and shine in the bridal couture. Reshmi Ghosh, the show stopper of his show provided the perfect attitude and poise for his distinctively alluring collection.

The very talented Jattinn Kochhar, showcased his collection Me & I. The collection represented duality in our lives - the existence of our dark side coexisting with our bright side, just like a mirror reflection. True to his signature style monochrome black, grey and white spiced with dashes of hot pink and black lace ruled the ramp. Walking for him was the stunning actor Meera Chopra who stole the show with her grace and elegance.
