The store is specially designed for brides to be and special occassion wear fashionistas to experience the rich hand woven clothings that include Garuang's acclaimed saris and all occassion wear garments.
The store opening was a hit with shoppers as the collections were unseen. Expressing his happiness with the appreciation he got from his clients and customes Gaurang Shah said , it is a perfect city to open hs 6th store in India as it appreciates lux fashion wear. We are a revivalist; our designs are reflection of various periods of ancient India, skillfully crafted by Jamdani exponents from around India to appeal global woman and we are confident that it will appeal to consumers in this city.
GAURANG believes fashion of India must have a powerfully symbolic role as each part of India is unique in its own ways like the antique Odhnas archived from Akbarnama with the Khadi fabric, embroidery on khadi, a renaissance of antique zardosi and the patan patolas, accentuated with Parsi embroidery, Kanjeevaram borders, gota’s and fabric textures.
Our collections for Kolkata include our new and our internationally popular line of timeless saris and outfits from our ‘Ardhangini’, ‘Gulbadan’, ‘Chandbali’ ‘Stridhan’ an amalgamation of ancient, very intricate Jamdani work in Khadi’s , Cotton and Silks.
GAURANG’s  big border sari is a rage in many parts of the world. The designer gave new twists to Kanjeevaram’s, khadi’s with gentle dash of color, textures and combining them with kalamkari. As a textile designer Gaurang made these heavy fabrics softer and made them lighter to wear.
There is a lot to indulge in GAURANG luxurious weaves store spread out in over 6000 square feet at Sarat Chaterjee Avenue, Kolkatta from bridal, casual saris to the most modern floor skimming gowns, myriad layers of fabrics for dresses, smocked mermaid style maxis, peplum blouses for voluminous lehengas, flared pants with finely kalied kurtas and khaki chandelier and petaled lehenga.
Kolkata is his 6th Store in india, he has 3 stores in Mumbai under the brand name 'Vaya' one each store in Bangalore and Hyderabad.
