Around 23 crème-de-la-crème of the Middle Eastern fashion industry are prepping to showcase their latest prêt-à-porter, couture and fashion collections at the upcoming fourth season of the Dubai-based catwalk extravaganza Fashion Forward (FFWD).

Slated to take place from October 4 to 6, 2014, the event will showcase several runway collections by established and young rising designers from the Gulf region and Dubai Design District (D3), a purpose-built community dedicated to promoting and nurturing emerging local talents while also providing a creative home to established international design, luxury and fashion brands.

The line up includes names like Furne One, the Filipino designer behind the Dubai-based brand Amato Haute Couture, the 2011’s New York WGSN Global Fashion Awards winning eveningwear specialist Michael Cinco and the Emirati talent known for her fairy-like ethereal dresses, Zareena Yousuf.

In addition to the aforementioned names, the soiree will feature creations by the Emirati designer who is known for her effortless eveningwear, Sheikha Madiyah Al Sharqi, the luxury fashion designer of Indian and Kuwaiti origin, Tahir Sultan, as well as the innovative luxury menswear brand Emperor 1688, owned by designer brothers Babak, Haman and Farhan Golkar.

Also Lebanese womenswear experts Dany Tabet, Bashar Assaf, Dima Ayad and Jean Louis Sabaji, alongside the Indian-born and Emirates-raised designer known for his Asian and European vintage fabrics crafted designs, Essa Bhagoorwala, will highlight their eclectic ensembles at the event.

Additionally, presentations and fashion talks, aiming to foster industry-related discussions and solving issues, will also be conducted by major international industry players and decision makers on the sidelines of the runway-centric event.
