More than 72 designers to partake in China Fashion Week

More than 72 local and international fashion brands will showcase their latest Spring/Summer 2015 collections at the forthcoming installment of Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week, slated to be held from October 25 to November 2, 2014 in Beijing.
The event will feature an array of leisurewear, gymwear, denim, wedding fashion and lingerie ranges for men, women and children from both well-established as well as young labels.
The soiree, which primarily aims to boost the home-grown designers and the local clothing industry, will highlight creations from 19 Top 10 Fashion Design award winners and eight Golden Award recipients.
In addition to the national talent showcases, the event will also display creations from designers belonging to the UK, Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Denmark, Italy and Russia.
Apart from the eclectic fashion shows, professional design contests, exhibitions, fashion forums and professional evaluation meetings will also be organized at the nine-day-long fashion do.
The Autumn/Winter 2014 edition of the Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week, which took place in March this year, presented exquisite apparel ranges from the Chinese-Dutch designer Hu Sheguang, Kuala Lumpur-based Shea Rasol and emerging local designer Ban Xiaoxue. The event also hosted a swimsuit design competition for the up and coming fashion design students alongside a joint catwalk parade that showcased more than 23 eco-friendly designs.
