The English fashion designer Stella McCartney opened the seventh day of the ongoing Paris Fashion Week with her spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection celebrating the soft gentle side of women.

The 43-year-old daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney incorporated loose shapes, delicate fabrics and relaxed comfy fits in her latest lightweight creations which included trapezoid-shaped silk slip dresses, wide spherical motifs adorned tunics, slouchy wide-legged trousers, crisp off-white shirts, pastel hued gingham numbers, gigantic buckle strap cocktail pieces, denim culottes, knitted skirts and sweaters.

The Roman designer Giambattista Valli showcased a very artwork inspired collection replete with sequins, brocade, white embroidered leaves, appliqué flowers, fringes, scalloping details, Ikat, floral prints and indigenous landscape art. The standouts included a two-tiered white and black dress without armholes, a panelled peplum skirt, a fabric feather accented gown and some trouser suits and short hemmed numbers.

The celebrity favoured red carpet specialist of Lebanese origin Ellie Saab drew inspiration from the marine life for his new range. Based on a palette of tidal hues such as sea green, coral and blue, the designer showcased a line of fluid, 1970-esque evening gowns with V-necklines, gauzy winged sleeves and bold revealing slit skirts enhanced with lace and beautiful embroideries alongside few dressy daywear ensembles.

The Parisian luxury fashion house Saint Laurent Paris capped off the seventh day with its Rock n Roll vibes inspired collection designed by the brand’s French creative helm Hedi Slimane. The well-tailored line featured sheer chiffon blouses, chevron-striped red and black leather miniskirts, short flirty frocks and cherry, star and flower printed full-skirted dresses as well as an array of denim and moto jackets in green, black and red colours.
