Little Mistress Group has inked a three year deal with global supply chain managers, Li & Fung Ltd. to handle their latest brand expansion offerings.

These include handbags, small leather goods, cold weather accessories and summer soft accessories beginning from A/W15.

The Little Mistress Group views this latest move as a platform for broader brand exposure and slicker distribution methods with an aim of creating more openings and opportunity in Europe.

CEO Mark Ashton said, “For us, it was about working with the best out there and when we considered Li & Fung, we ticked all of the boxes.”

“Our ultimate aim is to venture into retail, but without the addition of these new categories, that would be near impossible and I am confident that Li & Fung will be an important partner for us,” he added.

The 20-25 piece handbag collection will be the first to launch at PURE London which runs February 8-10, 2015 at Kensington Olympia.

The collection has been divided up into four smaller categories; classic key shapes, a gold and black range, a colour block range and small accessories.

According to Little Mistress, each range will also have purses to sit alongside the bags, while the rest of the collections will follow later in spring.

“This latest move comes as a response to consumer and customer demand as with the launch of footwear in 2014, it makes sense to have a handbag collection to compliment the offering,” Ashton informed.

The AW15 range will feature both evening and daytime bags to ensure versatility, in line with the main collection.

Established in 2008, the Little Mistress Group launched with eponymous brand Little Mistress and has in its portfolio, party and occasion wear dresses, with embellishment, lace and a style to suit every fashionista.

In 2102, a sister-brand, Little MisDress arrived on the scene aimed at 4–12 year olds with an offering based entirely on occasion wear.

The Little Mistress brand now encompasses collections for petite, tall, curvy and maternity, and a shoe and accessory collection from A/W14.

The groups’ second brand, Paper Dolls, comprising of body-con, colour-pop dresses, arrived on the scene in 2013.

Early 2014 saw the launch of the latest offering from The Little Mistress Group, Girls on Film, a younger, separates-driven collection.

The group exports to Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, USA, South Africa, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, Slovakia and the Middle East. (AR)
