Reebok adds Cordura to S/S15 CrossFit and One Series lines

American sportswear manufacturer Reebok has added a new Spring/Summer 2015 apparel collection, made from the highly durable fabric brand Cordura, to its CrossFit and One Series lines.
Designed to withstand the rigorous training schedules of athletes, the new creations, incorporate the cloth’s signature abrasion and tear resistance, moisture management and four-way stretch properties.
Crafted from full dull lustre yarns, the pieces, including a pair of shorts featuring a breathable bonded gusset, drawstring waist closure and open side pockets, give a natural cotton-like appearance and feel while delivering long-lasting performance and an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
Speaking about the S/S collection, vice president of Reebok Training, Chris Froio said, “Athletes are tenacious and demand durable gear. Whether they are tackling skill training or a WOD (Workout of the Day), they need comfortable, breathable, long-lasting workout apparel to help achieve their goals and improve their performance. Cordura fabric helps us accomplish that in the latest addition to our apparel lines.”
Cindy McNaull, global Cordura brand and marketing director, emphasised on the same, “Athletes focus on fitness, across a range of skills such as strength, speed, flexibility, accuracy and power. Our Condura fabrics ensure their apparel gear is as tough as they are due to the key qualities such as abrasion resistance, maximum fibre-strength and durability. These are all crucial for gear that stands up to the rigours of repeated WODs.”
Produced by the Kansas-based integrated fibre and resin maker Invista, Cordura fabric is known for its resistance to abrasions, tears and scuffs. The cloth is ideal for high-performance gear and apparel products such as luggage, upholstery, backpacks, footwear, military equipment, tactical wear, workwear and performance apparel.
