Indian women's label W launches Spring/Summer 2015 line

The Indian contemporary womenswear brand W has launched a very cosmopolitan looking fresh, feminine Spring/Summer 2015 line inspired from around the world.

Replete with experimentative styles, cuts and silhouettes, the boho-chic range took inspiration from several international concepts as well as places including cypher nouvelle, riverra, fressia, ink box, Ivory Coast, Massai Mara and Barcelona.

Adorned with graphic architectural and kitsch prints, the urbanwear collection features kurtas, trousers, skirts, palazzos, gilets and waistcoats all based in seasonal shades of corals, lime greens, dazzling blues and pretty orchids. The line also includes an assortment of long length sheer jackets in soft hues that can be teamed up with crop tops or spaghettis.

Speaking about the collection, Anant Daga, CEO of W owner TCNS Company, explained that the line has been created in innovative silhouettes such as A-lines, v-shapes, handkerchief hems, cocoon and boxy designs, and wrap, fit and flared, and flared styles.

Apart from the core W collection, the brand also includes an elegant and beautiful ethnicwear range called Wishfull. Perfect to be worn at any occasion, the line is inspired from the history of Indian weaves focusing on the richness and comfort of Indian fabrics and ethnicity. The collection comprises pieces named as Anarchy, Macedonia, Khamaaj, Amaya and Nishaat Bagh.

Catering for both working women and homemakers, W owns a unique design sensibility that has managed to transform the traditional Indian salwar kameez into a chic, urbane yet comfortable piece of clothing. (PB)
