Uniqlo updates AIRism collection for summers

Women's casual wear AIRism
Japanese casualwear designer, manufacturer and retailer Uniqlo has launched an updated line of new summer friendly looks to its men’s, women’s and kids’ easy-to-wear functional clothing line AIRism.

The label has revamped its mesh series in the menswear section by incorporating a unique weaving style that provides wider openings for enhanced breathability. The latest assortment of V-neck and crew-neck T-shirts not only offers cool sensation but also are less transparent than the previous mesh series.

For women, the brand has launched an extra smooth line of innerwear made from a 60 per cent blend of regenerated cellulosic cotton-derived fibre cupra, which improves the clothes’ moisture wicking properties by around 1.5 times. The smooth silky feel line features camisoles and tanks.

In addition to innerwear, the AIRism womenswear collection has also introduced new everydaywear smooth-feeling, stretchy, comfortable outfits like hoodies, T-shirts, bottoms and jackets. The line also includes activewear ensembles for yoga or jogging.

In childrenswear, Uniqlo has used modal fabrics to increase the perspiration-absorbing, water resistant and quick-drying functionality of apparels, which includes pieces like U-neck short sleeve T-shirts, tank tops and camisoles.

Uniqlo launched AIRism in 2013 as a global strategic brand, and has updated and improved it each season. (PB)
