Brazilian Textile and Confection Industry Association (ABIT) announces that about 30 exhibiters who represent nearly 100 brands participated in the 13th edition of the Men's Fashion Show held at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in São Paulo, from June 27 thru 29.

This time the 2007 spring/summer collections were presented. Expressive brands in men's fashion were present, including: Dudalina, D'Anello, D&J, Colella, Di Marsi, Hytenn, Celbi Rochelle and Franlui, among others.

“The organization of the event was a little apprehensive since our first day for the Fair coincided with the World Cup match between Brazil and Ghana. To our surprise, we had almost 400 people here, cheering with us,” says SMM director, Sonia Hess, who is also a member of ABIT's directorate.

“At this edition, the number of visitors, as well as the business carried out, was within expectations,” Hess added. At the last edition, the Fair received more than 5 thousand visitors and generated nearly R$ 100 million in sales.

Mexican buyer, Eduardo Molina Terrazas, from AMIC International Commerce S.A, liked what he saw at the Fair. “Indeed, product quality was what most called my attention. And the prices are compatible with the quality, since there is aggregated value,” he affirmed. He lamented the fact that some exhibiters are not prepared to export.

“But I say that ABIT is carrying out an important job in the sense of preparing and encouraging these companies for the export process,” added Terrazas, who came to the Men's Fashion Show at the invitation of ABIT, through the Texbrasil Program and with the support of APEX-Brasil.
