Victory Corp registers solid growth of 10.6 from cosmetics & jewellery business

The retail climate in the UK was very challenging and Christmas in Direct Selling came late, just as it did in the High Street, but December proved to be a good selling month with a sales increase of 51%. For a period, they saw our Cosmetics sales in Direct plateau, and after careful research and in consultation with our network of Managers and Consultants a number of strategic changes were made to the Direct business. Firstly they introduced a range of Jewellery to be sold by our Direct Selling teams.
The Virgin Vie Jewellery collection is a commercial collection of timeless classics, high fashion and statement pieces. The range proved an instant success and will be refreshed four times a year. To ensure that Virgin Vie Jewellery did not cannibalise existing sales of Virgin Cosmetics, the Commission Plan for our Consultants and Managers was amended.
The changes made to the Commission Plan had the desired effect and sales of Cosmetics increased by 6% during the last quarter of the financial year. The third major initiative taken was to change the management structure of the Direct business.
Since the start of Direct they employed Regional Sales Managers to develop our various Regions, and this had proved highly successful. More recently, however, they noted that our senior self-employed Managers appeared to have outgrown the Regional Manager structure. As a result, it was decided to move away from employing Regional Sales Managers and to reorganihad proved highly successful.
