Wolford AG taking over nine of Palmers' boutiques in Austria

Wolford AG is taking over nine of the Wolford sites in Austria previously managed by Palmers with immediate effect, including three sites in Vienna, the flagship stores at Schechter Airport and Kranzlmarkt in Salzburg, as well as sales outlets in Graz, Klagenfurt, Wiener Neustadt and Linz. Control of the entire value-added chain for these new sites from production via distribution through to product placement at the point of sale will thereby also pass to Wolford.

Overall Wolford thus controls 20 boutiques/factory outlets/shop-in-shop in Austria. All employees affected by the change of ownership will be taken on by Wolford AG. Two further Wolford boutiques in Mödling and Salzburg will continue to be run by other partners. Palmers will retain eleven Wolford boutiques.

"We are very pleased with the agreement which we have reached with Palmers. The important domestic market in Austria needs greater emphasis of the Wolford brand, linked with a ualitative focus on its own retail business”, according to Holger Dahmen, Chair man of the Board of Wolford AG. Part of the strategic realignment of the business is a global distribution analysis, focusing on brand awareness at the POS and the quality of the site.

Wolford is operating for over 50 years, is specializing in the manufacture and sales of high quality leg and bodywear, in particular stockings, tights, bodies, swimwear and lingerie in the luxury segment.
