Spy's proprietary Scoop ventilation system was integrated in to the Magneto's frame design. Engineered ventilation ducts are placed at the base of the frame and arranged in micro-cast alloy Scoop grills to direct air away from riders' eyes while increasing inner frame ventilation.
The Magneto frame design follows in the brand's storied history of innovative aesthetics, unparalleled attention to detail, and premium optical technology. The frame's design is comprised of sharp overlays and increased volume in multiple, raised planes. "The look was inspired," says Spy designer and motocross rider Jerome Mage, "by angular stealth jets, evil Star Wars sith masters, the lines and toughness of classic American muscle cars, and the luxurious vibe of old Cadillacs."
Proprietary design, hand-crafted detailing, and creative individuality influence all seven styles of the Magneto, also including signature goggles for Kevin Windham and Damon Bradshaw. Magneto straps accentuate goggle frame detail with touches of metallic thread, three-dimensional raised weaving, and custom leather patches.
The Magneto was introduced at an invitation only media and professional athlete event held at Cahuilla Creek Race Track in Anza, California on July 18th, and will ship to Spy's global retail partners in late August.
