Bata Amateur Golf Tournament in Zimbabwe

Presentation table and display of locally manufactured and imported footwear sold by Bata Zimbabwe retail outlets.The annual Bata Amateur Golf Tournament was recently held at the Gweru Golf Club in Zimbabwe.

This tournament is one of the top Amateur Golf Events in Zimbabwe with points earned towards the Order of Merit, which determines the top amateur golfer in the country.

As usual there was a very large field of players, which included most of the top amateur golfers in the country. This year's tournament boasted a record number of 140 players including six golf professionals. The participants golfed as approximately 100 spectators looked on.

Prizes of Bata footwear and Power accessories were well received by the winners. In addition, a display of locally manufactured and imported footwear sold by Bata Zimbabwe retail outlets drew high praise from contestants and spectators alike.

Participating as sponsors of the event brought the 'Bata' name to the forefront of the public's eye. Bata has supported this tournament for the last 10 years, and it has become a highly anticipated fixture for Zimbabwe golfers.
