The report by the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of RF, Oleg Kashcheev, depicted the current situation of technical textiles in the Russian market. At the moment, out of all the branches of the textile and light industry, technical textiles is the sector that will receive maximum support, as this sector represents the most market demand. It lacks the offer from Russian manufacturers, while the need for technical textiles keeps growing each year.
Many types of technical textiles are not produced in Russia at all, or fail to meet relevant standards. As a result, in 2006 Russia will adopt new technical regulations developed by a number of research institutes during the past year that are now in the approval phase. Messe Frankfurt is in close interaction with Moscow and regional organisations that are engaged in solving this problem.
The exhibition was attended by specialist from industrial textile companies, research institutes, colleges, consumers of technical textiles, representatives of the trade press.
Altogether, Techtextil Rossija and Interstoff Rossija were attended over the three days by 3,050 specialists. Messe Frankfurt RUS applied the same internationally recognized evaluation system for calculating visitor numbers that the Messe Frankfurt uses for its exhibitions in Germany.
