Artistic Sigrid Olsen join hands with Altair Eyewear

Sigrid Olsen, a brand known for its artistic and stylishly relaxed women's apparel and accessories, has signed an agreement in principle with Altair Eyewear to manufacture, distribute and market sunglasses, optical frames and optical accessories under the Sigrid Olsen brand name.

The Sigrid Olsen Optics Collection will launch to the trade in March of 2006, with the sunglasses debut following in August of 2006. Consumers will be able to purchase the lines at finer optical and sunglass retailers in June 2006 (optics) and December of 2006 (sunglasses).

'She is delighted to have found an eyewear partner so in tune with my aesthetic," said Sigrid Olsen, Creative Director. 'Adding eyewear is the next step in rounding out the Sigrid Olsen collection. Their consumer will now have the opportunity to complement her wardrobe with fashionable eyewear that completes her look.'

An artist, Sigrid Olsen launched her apparel line 20 years ago and has seen it grow from casual resort wear to a lifestyle collection including a year-round sportswear line, fashion accessories, bed and bath products and now sunglasses and optics. The collection's sophisticated designs reflect Sigrid's personal style and artistry, bridging lifestyle and leisure. The company has also recently launched a highly successful retail boutique concept, which will boast approximately 50 stores around the country by the end of 2005.
