Seattle-based leading fashion specialty retailer Nordstrom Inc announced that it has signed a letter of intent with Taubman Centers to open a new Nordstrom store at Partridge Creek Fashion Park in Clinton Township, Mich. Nordstrom will build a new, two-level store that will be approximately 129,000 square feet. Nordstrom at Partridge Creek Fashion Park is scheduled to open in spring 2008.
"They're excited about expanding their presence in the northeast area of Detroit," said Erik Nordstrom, Executive Vice President of Full-Line Stores for Nordstrom. "They have been privileged to be a part of the community for over nine years since opening at Somerset Collection in Troy. With their upcoming opening at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi and now Nordstrom at Partridge Creek Fashion Park, they look forward to more conveniently serving customers in the greater Detroit area."
Located in Clinton Township, Partridge Creek Fashion Park will have a multiplex cinema, several sit-down restaurants and up to 90 specialty retailers. The shopping center will be approximately 600,000 square feet on a 55-acre site along the south side of M-59.
"Nordstrom gets us off to a great start with our merchandising and leasing efforts," said Robert S. Taubman, Chairman, President and CEO of Taubman Centers. "They're confident the center, with its unique physical environment and distinctive stores, will complement the area's existing retail, dining and entertainment opportunities."
Nordstrom offers a large selection of quality fashion apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children. This will be the third Full-Line Store for Nordstrom in Michigan. Nordstrom Somerset Collection in Troy opened in 1996 and Nordstrom at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi is scheduled to be complete in fall 2007. The Nordstrom Rack in Troy Marketplace opened in 2000.
