In the time of global warming and confused weather patterns, this is one collection that goes beyond the mere seasonal in its feel and aesthetics. Inspired by the aerial and ground view of Ladakh, the collection emulates the colour patterns of the landscape in all aspects. Splashes of Cerulean blue, the colour of the sky and the mystical lakes of the land bring relief to the unremitting cement greys and blacks teamed with natural plaster whites.

The silhouettes are dramatic leaving no trace of normality. There is a strong mix and match of dramatic 3D textures that take interesting forms of the rocky mountains like shapes captured through hand-woven surfacing of silk frills and hand printed landscape canvas that sit well on dresses and jackets as intricate details.

The detailing almost creates an illusion of a woman arising from this craggy and mountainous landscape, in pure and pristine form. The use of net in the form of bandage on the body creates an ultra luxurious look and at the same time displays the power of adversity. While the oversized jackets in textured silks display the power of the mountains with digital stone prints on them, fluid jersey dresses under the oversized jackets create the true blend of harsh with the softness of nature.

The woman who sports this collection is demure, with an almost virginal innocence in her stance. Yet, her inner strength is reflected in her ability to traverse this harsh land and be overwhelmed by its beauty, despite the adverse climatic conditions. She has survived a hard storm in a serene mountain backdrop. She is a girl who is nature's reflection of what a woman means.
