T+S with Macbeth to create denim Nolan design

TEGAN AND SARA have teamed up with Macbeth Footwear to create the latest Macbeth Studio Project collaboration: two new pairs of custom high-top Nolans designed individually by both Tegan and Sara. The initial run of both designs were originally released in February 2009 and were nearly sold out at press time. Luckily for fans, demand has been so overwhelming that an additional run will become available in early summer.
The Tegan “Nolan” is constructed from black denim and features a hand-drawn wave on the outer ankle accompanied by the initials “TRQ” [Tegan Rain Quin] on the inner ankle.
The Sara “Nolan” is made from white denim and contains a large artistic “S” on the outer ankle and the initials “SKQ” [Sara Kiersten Quin] on the inner ankle. Both graphics were created and drawn by EE Storey, a close friend of the band's.
In other T&S news, production on the next studio album has begun with Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla, who first worked with TEGAN AND SARA on their 2007 breakthrough album THE CON. The results are expected to surface later this year. More details to be revealed soon. Until then, keep an eye on teganandsara.com.
Finally, TEGAN AND SARA have announced a one-off show in Los Angeles at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl supporting their friends Death Cab For Cutie, who will be joined for this special event by The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. The New Pornographers will open the show set for Sun, July 5. Tickets are on sale now.
