Regal and magnificent in eggplant-plum, a signature hue of the Fall 2009 season, Oprah Winfrey glided across the star-studded red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday evening, September 13, 2009, in a gown created by fashion designer Angela Dean, owner of DeanZign.com of Los Angeles. Although Ms. Dean's phone number is on speed-dial by some of the best-dressed women in the entertainment industry, DeanZign is one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets.

Ms. Dean describes the dress, commissioned by and exclusively created for Ms. Winfrey, as a rich plum matte jersey, dolman-sleeve wrap evening gown. In the pre-design creative process, Ms. Dean envisioned the multimedia icon and groundbreaking humanitarian in "a fabulous, free-flowing dress befitting Ms. Winfrey's grace, dignity, and the magnitude of the occasion." The occasion was the Toronto International Film Festival world debut of the greatly anticipated film, "Precious", of which Ms. Winfrey is Co-Executive Producer with Tyler Perry.

Expressing her feelings on having the opportunity to design for Ms. Winfrey's appearance at the renown festival, Ms. Dean states: "It has been the most surreal moment of my designing career to see her so beautifully dressed and absolutely radiant on the red carpet in one of my signature matte jersey gowns from my Angela Dean Collection."
