NPD hires Claude Charbit, President of Global Beauty Business

Leading consumer and retail information firm The NPD Group Inc announces the retention of Claude Charbit to lead its global beauty business. In his new position, he will operate as President of NPD's Global Beauty business and will be in charge of coordinating and developing NPD's Selective Beauty business on an international level.

A market research veteran, Claude Charbit has been a special adviser to NPD for the development of its European Beauty business since July 2003. Most recently he led NPD negotiations with TNS relating to TNS' European Perfumery Business.

Before his engagement with NPD, Charbit held numerous high profile positions with leading international market research companies. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of European Operations for Information Resources Inc. (IRI); prior to that he was the firm's Chairman and CEO for France. Before he joined IRI, Charbit held leadership positions with SOFRES, EuroRSCG Group and AC Nielsen.

Claude Charbit graduated from the well-known Sciences Po Paris (Political Science) and has a Degree in Law, Université de Paris Assas.
