Stijn Helsen to dress up stars for the Oscars

Stijn Helsen was asked to design the outfit for Keanu Reeves, Danny Houston and Lenny Kravitz for the Oscars in Los Angeles this weekend. What the stars wear on this night will often predict what will be hot for the next season.

Stijn Helsen did exclusive fittings in the unique 'Chateau Marmont' in Los Angeles and made tailored suits and smokings for `The A-list of Hollywood'. Keanu Reeves, Danny Houston and Lenny Kravitz were all dressed by Stijn Helsen for this unique evening.

Belgian fashion designer Stijn Helsen is well known for his perfectly fitted suits. His trademark is based on his eye for detail - such as colored lining and buttons - but above all on the perfect fitting.

Stijn: "There is a tendency to dress up. In former days the actors and stars carried baggy jeans and extra large pullovers. Now a days we notice a comeback of preppy and funky suits. Youngsters follow their idols in this trend. In times of crisis like these there is a need for fixed values and respect. And how can one gain more respect than wearing a perfectly tailored suit?

Stijn Helsen is active since 1995. He worked and lived in Los Angeles where he cooperated as a costume stylist in films such as "Spiderman" and "Pirates of the Caribbean". Besides fashion, he designs furniture and jewelry.
