Ross Store reports Q3 sales up 20%

Branded apparel, accessories and footwear provider Ross Stores Inc reported earnings per share for the 13 weeks ended October 29, 2005 of $.25, compared to $.25, as restated, for the 13 weeks ended October 30, 2004.
Net earnings for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005 were $36.3 million, compared to $37.7 million, as restated, for the 13 weeks ended October 30, 2004.
Fiscal 2005 third quarter sales rose 20 percent to $1.237 billion, from $1.028 billion for the quarter ended October 30, 2004. Comparable store sales for the period increased 9 percent over the prior year.
