Finish Line's mite to American Red Cross for hurricane relief

Nation's leading athletic specialty retailers Finish Line Inc along with its charitable arm, the Finish Line Youth Foundation, presented the American Red Cross with a check in the amount of $500,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief.
From September 6, 2005 through October 2, 2005 all Finish Line stores participated in a nationwide fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Finish Line stores raised $325,000 during the four-week period, with the Finish Line Youth Foundation matching funds up to $175,000.
'The American Red Cross is a perfect fit to receive their donation because of the great work they do in response to national and local disasters,' says David Klapper, President of Finish Line Youth Foundation.
'This organization provides the immediate and long-term food, shelter, clothing/shoes and essential household items that the residents of the Gulf Coast need as they rebuild their lives.'
Finish Line customers who donated to this worthy cause also received a coupon good for use on future purchases at Finish Line.
