Front-man of the multi-platinum-selling group Black Eyed Peas and singer, songwriter and producer, Will.i.am, launches his latest menswear line, labeled 'i.am'.

Post his schooling, he attended fashion school, but music was a more stronger and firm call for him, remembers Grammy-winning artist, who had attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

While visiting Toronto for two concerts, Wiil.i.am took time out for an in-store appearance at Harry Rosen in the high-end Yorkville area, to introduce his line in the city. The apparels on display include a blend of basics such as graphic t-shirts, clubbed with knits, some of which portray leather accents and detailing.

Traditional pea coats to edgier hooded jackets with a graphic printed lining and coats with mesh-style pinhole cutouts form the outerwear range of garments.

Explaining his new fashion line, Will.i.am said that, youth and not a person described his new line. From their culture to youth hip-hop to their dance culture, world of arts and mere expressions are William James Adams Jr's (Will.i.am's) inspiration for the new collection.

The collectible also consists of strong Canadian connection, designed and produced by i.am je suis division of Manhattan International, in Montreal.

Will.i.am intends on crafting apparels for the people per say and not one particu;lar individual. While his line is described as both passion and dream for him, music remains the integral part of his life and band.
