The black solar-panel runway of Portland Fashion Week will light up with an array of artistic, commercial, independent, eco-friendly and company label design talent, extraordinary in its depth and breadth for an independent fashion week, with equally extraordinary (and comprehensively eco-friendly) production values.
Along with Seth Aaron and the "Seth Aaron SolarWorld Collection presented by Portland Fashion Week," Season 7 finalist Jonathan Peters and alum Jay Sario will launch their first post-Project Runway Collections in Portland to buyers, consumers and press. Pendleton will launch a unique SS/11 Collection.
Colombian designer Amelia Toro, dresser of personalities like Hillary Clinton and the Spanish royal family also joins Portland Fashion Week with a never-before-seen collection in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, along with locally-based headliners like Michelle DeCourcy, Souchi, Amai Unmei, Holly Stalder, Idom and many more!
The launching of Spring/Summer 2011 collections on the runway, as well as Direct-to-Consumer In-Season shopping events featuring Fall 2010 lines, a program complete with artisan fashion presentations, emerging designer competition, and an international lineup of headline designers, will combine to deliver a truly world-class fashion week experience.
