Monica and Karishma back with AW Festive Collection

After the successful launch of the Bridal 2010 Collection, designers Monica and Karishma are back with their AW Festive 2010/11 Collection.

According to Monica and Karishma, “Festive 2010/11 is a colorful celebration of life, love, laughter, spirituality, folk art, and music.” Chic ensembles draw inspiration from a cross-cultural mix of the vintage and modern. Victorian, Asian, and ethnic Indian influences express themselves in versatile forms.

The orient meets the occident in a heady burst of colors and textures. Traditional aari, zardosi and beadwork on luxurious fabrics such as Taffeta and habotai silks make Festive 2010 -11 a visual and sensory treat. Airy nets and cottons; and shimmery metallic yarns also make an appearance this season.

JADE's Festive 2010 ensembles are perfect for anytime and anywhere—be it the streets of Mumbai, Paris, or New York. Corded corsets and jackets make a bold statement for today's woman. Traditional tie-n-dye techniques transform dramatically into contemporary flared skirts. Jodhpur and harem pants, even the humble dhoti makes a leap into our modern woman's closet this season.

Designers Monica Shah and Karishma Swali are the creative force behind JADE. Having amassed international experience for nearly two decades, they forayed into home territory with their flagship store in 2008.
