Fashion retailer Nordstrom to open store in San Marcos

Dec '05
Leading fashion specialty retailer Nordstrom Inc announced it will open a 35,000 square foot Nordstrom Rack store at Grand Plaza in San Marcos, California, in fall 2006.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc offering shoes, clothing and accessories for men, women and children at savings of 30-75 percent off original prices.

The location at Grand Plaza will be the second Nordstrom Rack store to open in the greater San Diego area.

"They're pleased to serve their San Diego area customers with a brand new Nordstrom Rack," said Kelly Cole-Berka, southwest Regional Manager, Nordstrom Rack Division.

"They've been privileged to serve customers at their Mission Valley Rack for 20 years. They hope to serve their customers in and around San Marcos more conveniently with this new location."

"They couldn't be more excited about the Nordstrom Rack joining Grand Plaza's quality assortment of retail and restaurants," said Bernie Labowitz, Vice President - Leasing, World Premier Investments.

"They're confident that with this addition Grand Plaza will offer superior discount shopping to the residents of Northern San Diego and beyond."

Grand Plaza will offer customers eight anchor stores, led by Nordstrom Rack and several mini anchors, specialty retailers, restaurants and entertainment.

Grand Plaza is located in San Marcos, California, at the crossroads of Las Posas road and Highway 78, just five miles west of Escondido and approximately 30 miles north of downtown San Diego.
