As reported earlier, “Habitus Baltija 2011” presented collections of 49 young fashion designers from 11 countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Cyprus, Turkey, Croatia and Romania.
The originality, quality and style of apparel and the conformity of collections to the competition categories was evaluated by an international jury chaired by Stefan Siegel, the world-recognized fashion expert and the founder of the leading global platform for emerging fashion designers www.notjustalabel.com from the UK. The jury included the fashion industry professionals and lecturers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Turkey, Poland and Finland such as the head of the Fashion Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia Aigars Bikše, the editor in chief of the magazine "DECO" and the fashion blogger Agnese Kleina, well-known fashion designers Martinš Pupols and Artis Štamguts.
Habitus Baltija 2011 was organised by the International Exhibition Company BT 1 in conjoint with the Art Academy of Latvia, the Estonian Academy of Art, the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, the Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design and the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences.
