Qipao Town, a cluster situated in the Jiangsu province of China and developed to promote traditional Chinese clothing and culture, has attracted some of the country's top fashion brands. Luxury apparel brands producing traditional Chinese garments such as Ne-Tiger, Saint Joy and Jixiangzhai have decided to set up their shops in the town.

The Qipao Town has been developed with a planned investment of about 6 billion yuan and is spread over an area of 386 square kilometres. It was launched in October 2016 and has already attracted a number of cultural as well as fashion brands, according to a leading Chinese daily.

Zhang Zhongjun, the operator of the Qipao Town and the chairman of Builtop Group based in Wujiang city, said that the town integrates fashion, cultural and tourism industries and provides services pertaining to Chinese apparel, culture and etiquette.

“Qipao is the representative of Chinese costume with the oriental beauty. Qipao Town will achieve success by making innovations on the basis of absorbing essence from Chinese classics,” said fashion designer Lawrence Xu. (KD)
