Limited Brands same store sales for 5-weeks drops 2%

Women's apparel store Limited Brands reported comparable store sales decrease of 2 percent for the five weeks ended October 1, 2005 compared to the five weeks ended October 2, 2004.
The comp result excludes the impact of stores closed as a result of the hurricanes. Net sales increased 1 percent to $687.3 million compared to net sales of $679.3 million last year.
Comparable store sales decreased 3 percent for the year-to-date period and net sales increased 2 percent to $5.528 billion compared to sales of $5.446 billion last year.
