Global brand-name products for consumers throughout the world Sara Lee Corporation announced that net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2006, ending Oct. 1, 2005, were $4.3 billion compared to $4.4 billion in the prior year's first quarter, a decrease of 2percent. Sales grew in North American retail meats and international beverage and bakery during the quarter, while declining in North American retail bakery, household and body care and branded apparel.
