Leading jewellery house, Tara Group, is gearing up to enter South America, in turn being the first Indian company to do so.
Company initially plans to introduce its Tara SA brand in Peru's capital city of Lima and later cover other cities.
Aarti Sheth, Director, Domestic Operations, explained that Peru was their first destination as that would make markets of Brazil, Ecuador and Venezuela easily accessible.
Besides, she also said that jewellery was one of the major reasons for India's economic growth.
Sheth added that Tara had been serving the North American Hispanic demand as a wholesaler for quiet a while now and was well aware of their tastes.
Tara has chosen some 200 out of their entire international range of 10,000 different styles exclusively for the South American markets.
Company is expecting a business of over $10 million in the first year of its launch.
